Larisa Florea is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in trinity College Dublin and a member of the AMBER Centre. She joined TCD in 2018, following the award of an Irish research Council Laureate grant and a European research Council Starting grant that enabled her to establish an independent research career. Dr Florea studied organic chemistry and chemical engineering University Politehnica in Timisoara, Romania (BSc) and completed her PhD in materials chemistry at Dublin City University and then moved to a postdoctoral position in the Insight Centre for Data Analytics. in 2016 she achieved a senior position as Team Leader in Materials Chemistry and Microfluidics. Larisa is the co-leader of the DeMANS project.
